Here are the key takeaways from our December 2024 Board of Directors meeting.

• Raven Court Construction: On-time and on-budget, with some areas ahead of schedule.
• Financial Health: A positive audit report with no findings.
• Academic Focus: Continued discussion on teacher retention, student performance, and alumni engagement.
• Community Involvement: The brick campaign is moving forward, and we encourage your participation!

• The consent agenda included minutes, financials, enrollment report, withdrawal report, and the approval of the Region 10 MRP Interlocal Coop.  
• The Board received informational reports from the 
  • Faculty Representative (making sure the Board knows that a 4 day week should be considered), 
  • the CFO (Audit is complete and will be presented tonight), the Superintendent (hiring updates and the County Commissioner Proclamation regarding Raven Court), and 
  • The three Board committees:  
    • Finance/Audit (Audit draft was reviewed, discussion of scholarships from the endowment, options for grant writing support, the brick campaign, and possible education foundation),  
    • District Improvement (reviewed longitudinal data tracking documents, considered teacher retention and effectiveness, asked for data on certification of teachers, reviewed STAAR data for comparison districts, and worked to begin drafting an alumni survey for the Spring), and the 
    • Facilities (updates on brick campaign, asks to share the postings, discussed additional bricks for pattern, needed measurement for history wall, and discussed temporary setup for additional phases).
