Sydney Teer, Special Education Teaching Assistant

Ms. Teer joined the Rapoport Academy Elementary team as a special education teaching assistant. Originally from the Waco area, she then attended the University of North Texas in Denton. She finds joy in helping children thrive in a learning environment. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with friends and family, as well as spending time in the water.

Jerry Dancer, Teaching Assistant & Coach

Mr. Dancer joined the Rapoport Academy secondary team as a Teaching Assistant and Coach. A Waco native, he brings eight years of experience in education to the role. Currently serving as the assistant varsity basketball coach, Mr. Dancer boasts a strong athletic background, having played both college and professional basketball. He joined the Rapoport Academy team in late November and enjoys working with students to help them reach their full potential.

Brent Weems, Teaching Assistant

Brent Weems joined the secondary team as a Teaching Assistant. A Waco native, Mr. Weems graduated from Baylor University with a bachelor's degree in history and earned a Master of Theology from Dallas Theological Seminary. He brings two years of middle school teaching experience to Rapoport Academy. Mr. Weems is passionate about positively impacting the lives of young people. In his free time, he enjoys sports, hiking, and exploring state parks.
