A school counselor supports students in their psychological, academic, and social development (Heled & Davidovitch, 2020; Popov & Spasenovic, 2020). We do this through short-term counseling sessions, collaborating with staff members, providing instruction about relevant topics such as bullying and mental health, and connecting families to community resources.
