Principal’s Message

Parents/Guardians,
We had a great night last night at Meet the Teacher and can't wait to welcome your child to school tomorrow morning.  I wanted to send some reminders to everyone, so please read everything below.

Spotlight

First Day Carpool Info

You can drive through either campus and drop your child off in the carpool line and we will ensure they get to where they need to go.  You can also walk them into the classroom on the first day.  If they don't want breakfast, they can stay in the classroom and you can exit the buildings.  If they want breakfast, you can visit the classroom and then walk them to the cafeteria and you can exit.  Please take quick pictures and then say goodbye so we can start the day.

Closed Campus from August 8-22
Every year, we close campus for the first 2 weeks of school (after day 1) so that students can get into the routine and learn the campus and the teachers.  Starting on Monday, August 25, parents are welcome to come to campus for meals.  Thank you for helping us ensure a smooth transition to campus these 2 weeks.

Change of Clothes - Pre-k/Kinder students
Please send a change of clothes in your child's backpack for pre-k and kinder students.  That is important in case there is an accident or a change of clothes are needed for any reason.

Carpool Tags - Required on your dashboard every day
We gave our carpool tags at Meet the Teacher.  If you did not come, we will try and catch parents during morning carpool tomorrow to pass them out.  Please ensure that they are on your dash every day for the entire school year.  If you walk up to pick up your child, they need to be in your hand.  If you ever need another one, please come to the front office and request one.  They are required every day!

Parent Communication
Please make sure you are checking ParentSquare for communications from me and your child's teacher.  Downloading the app for your phone or getting on the website on your computer would be helpful.  Staying in communication is the best thing you can do this year to stay on top of your child's learning.

Upcoming Events
Afterschool
Afterschool will start on the first day of school, Thursday, August 7th.  You can sign your child up and pay bills at the website HERE.  Please remember that after-school runs until 5:30 pm each day and students must be picked up no later than 5:30 pm each day.

Our yearly goal is 96% so please ensure your child is at school on time every day.

August 25 - First day for parents to come onto campus for meals
August 26 - Elementary Parent Pop Ins (Flewellen - 9-10 am; MacArthur - 5:30-6:30 pm)
Sept 1 - NO SCHOOL - Labor Day
