Principal’s Message |
We have had a wonderful first 2 days of school at both elementary buildings. I have seen so much joy and delight as kids see old friends and make new ones. Kids have been learning all the school and classroom procedures and are picking things up so quickly. I am sure they are going to be ready for the weekend though as it has been a very full 2 days.
Please make sure you read all the reminders and information below so you can be aware of schoolwide information. Remember that you can send messages to your child's teacher through ParentSquare as it is a great way to keep in touch.
I hope everyone gets some great rest this weekend.

Closed Campus for 2 Weeks After the First Day
We will be closed for all parents/guardians after the first morning until Monday, August 26 so the kids can transition to school routines. Starting on Monday, August 26, you can join your child for a meal or come onto campus if you'd like. Thank you for helping us ensure a smooth transition to school. You will have to check in at the front office with your ID if you are wanting to come onto campus for any reason starting on Monday, August 26.
Breakfast Times
If your child wants to eat hot breakfast on campus, please ensure they are at school by 7:40 am at Mac and 7:50 am at Flew. This ensures they have plenty of time to eat and get to class on time.
Carpool - Be Patient and Courteous
Please understand that carpool will take longer than normal for the first few days of school. Please be patient with us as we get to know families and cars and kids. In order to ensure safety, this often takes longer the first few days. Please also follow traffic laws and be courteous to others.
Carpool Tags - You MUST have them displayed in your car
You must have your carpool tags displayed on your dashboard every day at afternoon carpool. If you do not have a tag or need an extra one, please come to the front office and you can receive on. We need to see these displayed every day for the year so please keep them. This ensures each child is released properly and quickly.

I have attached maps that show traffic patterns for mornings and afternoons in both buildings. If you are new to Rapoport or want a refresher, please look the maps over to know where to go during carpool.
 After-school - Sign up now
If you want your child to attend after-school at either building, you must sign up and pay online. The link is HERE with directions for how to sign up online.
School Day Reminders
Please ensure the following things every day for your child (including the first day!):
- Please send them to school with a reusable water bottle
- Please ensure they wear athletic, closed-toe shoes every day. No flip-flops, boots, crocks, or sandals allowed.

Attendance matters every day. Please ensure your child is at school on time every day.
