Meyer High GEO

Our Guardian-Educator Organization has been faithfully meeting all year to try to address some needs of the school.
We have a few things we still need help with as we look towards the end of the school year.

Fruit of the Week: Each Tuesday, one of the parents buys cases of fruit for your student.

We have had many donations all year and we need just a little more money to finish the year: any size donation would be helpful to get us through April and May.
Please give to Mrs. DuShane and mark it “Fruit of the Week”.

Thank you for supporting our concessions at home sporting events and our fundraising meals at conference day!
This year, we are using that money (and other donations) to buy a freezer for the new building for teachers and students,
provide a GEO scholarship for volunteering to a graduating senior, and to improve the outside picnic area.

Before the year ends, we have a yard sale scheduled for April, so save your items!

We also have one more time of recycling paper and cardboard the week of April 20th! Both of these earn money towards our giving goals!

We also have a wish list from teachers that we have been using to help when a teacher requests something.

Contact Laura Perez or go to
http://www.signupgenius.com/go/20f084ca8a82ca7fc1-teacherstaff
if you want to help towards those requests.

Thank you also for all your help in providing snacks, food for staff, and other hospitality endeavors this year!
Our Staff Appreciation Week is scheduled for May 11-15: please let Ruth Boardman-Alexander know if you want to help with it!

Finally, we will be combining with Student Government to host a Family Night on Thursday, April 30.

Please come and join us for supper and some fun activities afterwards: bring the whole family!

In order to continue projects such as these, we appreciate all your participation.

Currently we are looking for guardians who are willing to meet once a month to plan and decide for next year's GEO.
Please talk with any of our current GEO officers for this year if you're interested in helping out in this way: Barbara Bridgewater, Ruth Boardman Alexander, Patti Thomas, Karsten Schattsneider, or Laura Perez.
