PSAT Scores

Sophomore & Junior Parents:

The PSAT Scores are in!  Your student will be recieving his or her scores sometime this week. Below are a few facts that may be helpful in understanding the score report.

What is the PSAT?

The PSAT is a practice SAT and was taken by the sophomores and juniors in October.

What does the score mean?

To convert a PSAT score to an SAT score you simply add a zero to the Selection Index.  The SAT is scored on a scale of 200-800 while the PSAT is scored on a scale of 20-80.

How do you improve your score?

Follow the recommendations on the score report

Visit My College QuickStart at www.collegeboard.com/quickstart for practice questions.

Take the PSAT again next year (sophomores) or the SAT this year (juniors).

Practice your math and reading skills.
