Rapoport Academy Public School is a lottery-draw school with open enrollment serving the following Central Texas school districts: Bosqueville, China Spring, Connally, Crawford, Gholson, LaVega, Lorena, McGregor, Midway, Riesel, Robinson, Waco, and West. This means that any student who resides in these school districts is eligible to attend Rapoport Academy. State law requires that students who enroll in free public pre-kindergarten meet certain criteria (e.g., economic disadvantage, English language learner, parent on active military service).

1) Pick up enrollment application from any campus and complete prior to enrollment appointment.
2) Schedule appointment with Bobbie Perkins (parent/guardian must call to set up this appointment).
3) Enrollment appointment with Bobbie Perkins.
4) Schedule appointment at appropriate campus for standardized testing to determine grade placement (this test does NOT detemine admission to the school, only the grade for which your student will enter the lottery draw).
5) Lottery draw and notification of admission.
You may stop by either the Elementary campus (2000 J.J. Flewellen) or Quinn Campus (1020 Elm Ave.; middle school and high school) to pick up an enrollment application form. Click the 'Contact' tab above for directions to our campuses.
Fall 2010 Enrollment Info:
Jan. 4, 2010: Re-enrollment forms for the 2010-2011 school year will be sent home with current students.
Jan. 6, 2010: Completed re-enrollment forms are due at your child's campus.
Jan. 11, 2010: Enrollment forms for siblings of current students and prospective new students will be available at all campuses. These forms (including sibling enrollment form) must be picked up—sibling forms will not be sent home with students or mailed.
Feb. 27, 2010: Grade placement testing at all campuses, beginning at 9 a.m. (this test does NOT detemine admission to the school, only the grade for which your student will enter the lottery draw). Must complete Steps 1-3 of enrollment process before test date.
April 17, 2010: Grade placement testing at all campuses, beginning at 9 a.m. (this test does NOT detemine admission to the school, only the grade for which your student will enter the lottery draw). Must complete Steps 1-3 of enrollment process before test date.
There is no application deadline for new students. Lottery draws occur on a rolling basis beginning in the late spring and continuing through the summer or until all enrollment spots are filled. |
